Learning new skills and failing old friends

One of several dreams Friday night:

I was playing minecraft with allot of people from my Uni. Even some of my Norwegian friends were there. But it were in real life. So things we made, we kept. For example some of my friends were making a house to live in. I was keeping creepers and zombies at bay. Then Andrew, a guy fixated on penises, showed me a part for a camera lens. I could not figure out how he could make such small items with the large building blocks that were found in this minecraft type world. He informed me that there was a special material that could be crafted into a machine that made nano-cubes. From these nano-cubes one could create vastly more complex creations. But since it was quite new, you had to learn how to code and create the software to use it and make it work.

This girl was introduced to me. She had created a DSLR camera that photographed in 3D. It was completely created out of these nano-cubes. I instantly wanted to learn how to code and create something like this. So Andrew and me went down to the mines to find the materials needed to create the nano-cube –machine. Here we met Kris. She was happily prancing around and having fun in this world between minecraft and real life. She decided to tag along and became really interested in this new programing thing that enabled complex creations.

After we had gathered stuff and emerged from the mine, we headed back to the castle witch everyone lived and worked in. The castle were built out of a mountain, so people could excavate their own rooms and housing. I on the other hand were more interested in learning how to program, so I could make that awesome camera for myself.

Kris picked up the coding skills much quicker than me. Then after a while Andrew had to take care of his own stuff, and could not help me out any longer. This is when my old roommate and her girlfriends showed up to mine and build their rooms. They asked if I could help them. But I were to busy dealing with the hardships of learning how to program my nano-cubes.

Then I kind of gave up. I did not have the progress I wanted. So I decided to just dig around and have some peace of mind. My previous roommate had just asked me if I could help her move a bed, when loads of people joined my session. It was the Rooster teeth crew (RT), doing a lets play and joining my game to connect with their audience. I had to state my name before we could start playing together. While all this was happening, my previous roommate got really annoyed that I wanted to play with the RT guys and not help them out, since they were new to this world. So they went questing without me.

The Internet connection between the RT guys and me was terrible, and they soon dropped out due to the lag. So I decided to help out my previous roommate and her friends. When I caught up to her they were in the middle of fighting a boss, and they were struggling. Badly. I jolted to help them, but they were too far away. One by one they perished before my eyes. I got sad, and logged out.

Then I woke up.
